According to a study conducted in UK food rich in soy can protect women against osteoporosis above 50. As the women grow older they go through menopause and they experience a drop in the level of the hormone estrogen.
Estrogen protects bone loss and if the amount of this hormone goes down this can lead to fractures in the body of a woman.
