Do you know what all Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome can do?:- One out of every five British women has PCOS, which affects their hormones and insulin levels. PCOS is a hormonal disorder that occurs in women when levels of sex hormones are out of balance.
It can lead to irregular periods, excessive or thinning hair along with the fertility problems. According to a study, women with PCOS are six times more prone to developing eating disorders than those without it.

A study showed one-third of women with PCOS demonstrated binge eating behaviour. According to the Binge Eating Disorder Association, BED is described by eating far more food than others would eat, with binges taking place on weekly basis for three months. Binge eating episode includes at least three of the following conditions:
- Eating very fast
- Eating past feeling full
- Eating a lot even when not hungry
- Eating in secret to hide how much is being eaten
- Feeling awful after a binge
- Feeling very distressed by eating binges
Women with PCOS who are desperate to lose weight, conceive a child and improve the symptoms believe that dieting is the only way out.
They cut out their carbohydrate consumption and start eating limited amount of food which leads to them craving for carbs and low sugar level and ultimately lead to them feeling worse about themselves.
Seeking out professional help while suffering from PCOS and BED is a way more logical step then killing yourself with self-loathing and frustrations.
