Korea is a land of striking colours and rich tradition. Recently, the Korean Culture Centre, New Delhi organized a presentation ceremony where Indian music students were awarded for best performance in different categories like violin, piano, singing and so on.

The judges’ panel consisted of four eminent Koreans in their respective fields of expertise. Kim Kum Pyoung, Director- Dream Project inaugurated the event with his inspirational speech.


The Dream Project is an engaging and aspiring project that helps aspiring music students to discover and pursue their passion. A team of young excellent Korean musicians from Korean National University of Arts came down to India to serve as mentors to aspiring Indian musicians for free.

The audience witnessed excellent performances from students of all age groups. They were performing under a Korean teacher who had been mentoring them for the past two weeks. 25th July was the last day of the Dream Project and also the announcement of exemplary students. The winning students were awarded a special luxury head set worth twenty-five thousand.


‘The Best Saxophone Player’ title was jointly held by Purusharth Kumar and Titto Sangma, for playing guitar on the tunes of Mangore Julia Florida. The award for ‘The Best Voice’ went to Sparsh Bajpai who sang Sull aria along with a member of the Dream Project-Hye Young Kim.

The event was concluded with a special performance by Hasit Nanda who played the piano on the songs-Sky Fall by Adele and Hotel California by Eagles.


The ambassador, Lee Joon Gyu handed over the gifts to the Dream team. The Secretary of Delhi School of Music, Surojit Banerjee gave the concluding speech and expressed gratitude to the Korean team for their efforts to bridge a gap by connecting the two countries with their Dream Project.
