More the siblings, more the chances of behavioral problems
Growing up with loads of siblings around has problems attach to it as a recent study suggests. That having lots of sisters and brothers means that you have a greater chance of having behavioral problems and also falling behind at school.
As per a study by University of Houston study, the families face a substantial quality & quantity trade-off: which means that the increase in family size decreases parental investment, measures on social behaviour and decrease childhood performance on cognitive tests.
The research also suggest that these negative effects are not only temporary disruptions following birth, but in fact these persist throughout childhood.
Dr, Chinhui Juhn a Co-author has said that, a lot, which happens during childhood has a lasting impacts and are in many respects, this matters more than a lot of the things which happen later.
To conclude, the study suggests that children from large families having financial difficulties suffered the most.
