‘Mems’ proved very beneficial for heart patients
In the state of Maharashtra total of 4,707 heart patients have been benefited from Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services (MEMS).
It included 277 patients from Nagpur district. The service was started in January 26, 2014. During the same period across the state5, 93,356 patients used the 108 MEMS ambulance services.
Deepak Bidkar, MEMS spokesperson told that 108 ambulance services are run by the state government through BVG India Limited. In last two years it has received very good response. There are 233 ambulances and another 704 ambulances equipped with advanced life support system and with basic life support system respectively.

Akola
Amravati
Aurangabad
Beed
Bhandra
Buldhana
Chnadrapur
Dhule
Apart from them, there are many more districts that have been benefitted from the scheme.
