According to a report by scientists, Mars largest moon, Phobos is slowly falling towards planet and will soon get shredded away in small pieces. And then a ring will get developed around the Mars just like Saturn and Jupiter.
Though, the process will take time around 20 to 40 million years according to reports of scientists of California.
Just as like the Earth’s moon pulls on our planet in different directions that raises tides in the ocean. Similarly, Mars tugs on different directions and different parts of phobos. The tugs are then enough to actually pull the moon apart.
