MAN UTD TO PLAY WITHOUT ROONEY IN CL OPENER
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed the absence of Wayne Rooney from the champions’ league opening clash against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday.
This has come as a result of a hamstring injury that the striker underwent during a training session ahead of Saturday’s match against Liverpool.
Rooney sat out that match and even on Tuesday Van Gaal is in no mood to risk any further injuries and wants complete rest for the Red Devils striker.
Although the manager is hopeful that Rooney will recover by next weekend for a match against St. Mary’s and gear up for the trip to Holland.
