Very recently the Maharashtra Government, headed by young Chief Minister Mr.Devender Fadnavis has decentralised the authority to permit CLU in the state to the Local Commissioners Level by divesting it from the centralised State Head quarters.
In order further boost the revenue through business investments the State government has amended another law. The government has amended laws to release land in agricultural and no-development zones for luxury hotels along state and national highways.
There have been a slew of decisions from the present government to augment business opportunities. In May this year the government increased the building rights for industries on farm land, then construction rights for restaurants and malls along the state and national highways.
Under the latest rules three star hotels and above category in single plot will be allosed to construct on floor space index of 0.1 to 1. There will be additional construction space made available on payment of a premium of 35% of non-agricultural land price. The state government has already released the order in this regard.
