A cabin crew strike has forced German airline – Lufthansa to cancel over 900 flights today. This has affected more than a 100 thousand passengers flying out of Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Munich.
The strike is a result of action by the union UFO regarding pensions and retirement benefits.
This battle has been on for a long time, as unions want better benefits, while the management is under pressure to cut costs to better compete with rivals like Etihaad and Emirates.
