If you are looking new pair of denim go for paint-splattered, super distress and clean denim, which are in fashion now. Slashed, white, patchwork, overall are the latest trend in denim.
70’s trend is back with a bang. The new “athleisure” jeans are everywhere. This denim is strong, uncannily flexible and damn good-looking. “It has rigid look”, says designer Julien Jarmoune, whose denim brand “Black Orchid” is on the top of denim market all over the world. Celebrities like Kate Moss and Beyonce are its fans. Using Italian denim stretch technology, they created series of dynamic denim washes for spring 2015.
Boyfriend jeans making waves
Linda Tol, Denim icon feels jeans should say who you are and what you feel. “My favourite is boyfriend jeans, which is very comfortable, roomy and cool and create a macho and sophisticated look,” Linda said.
Emily current and Merit Elliot are among the original denim designers. For spring 2015 they designed exclusive piece, a multi-category contemporary line. “Our new denim line is more feminine and consist of army jeans, workwear, t-shirt and fleece,” the duo said.
Athleisure jeans are good for yoga work out
In India demand and consumption of denim is increasing. According to Rajesh Dudeja of Denim Club of India, though the market for denim is good, continuous expansion and over production is creating problems. Besides, we have foreign brands.
In India denim is considered as symbol of youth, stands for being bold and independent. Indian designers play it safe. They did some unique innovations like digital printing, denim structure knitted fabrics etc to give the product Indian look.
One Indian designer who is doing innovation in denim is Rashmi Verma. She mixes khadi with denim and fashionistas endorsed the technique. “My jeans are one up on other regular jeans as it is cool and very comfortable as I believe in mix and match with khadi,” Verma said.
