Kerala all set to get free internet facilities in schools:- The most educated state of India Kerala, where almost 90 percent of the people; are educated will soon get free Wi- Fi facilities in schools. Now they have taken a major action for development.
According to the state’s foundation day, officials, over 10,000 lower primary and upper primary schools in Kerala will get 2Mbps WIFI Broadband by BSNL from 1st November. According to reports, the announcement was made on October 23rd.

Initial step of ICT (information and communication technology or technologies)
This step will be the initial step of ICT (information and communication technology or technologies), infrastructure up gradation in primary section. It will continue till every school becomes high tech.
The ICT was started by the government of Kerala for enhancing the quality of graduates, but now by changing their strategy they have started it from primary itself. It’s been the first time in history that in India, primary schools will be facilitated with free Wifi services.
Schooling will be changed
Schools will be accommodated with new textbooks by government for students that will be according to the ICT textbooks.
Those books are prepared on Edutainment platform which is titled by ‘Kalipetti’. Kerala students will start studying these books from November.
The politician of Kerala Anwath Sadath stated that if the broadband of internet will happen this would cover 15,000 connections and this would be the largest network and the first one in its kind in the whole country.
Huge benefit for students
This step taken by the government of Kerala would be very beneficial for the students. It would act as a miracle to them because without Internet one cannot survive in this era and they will learn how to operate and deal with internet. In future also, there will be huge scope for students as they will get exposure from primary schools itself.
