Kawasaki launches KLX110 sports bike in India
Kawasaki today launched it’s KLX 110, an entry level sports bike in India. The bike, priced at Rs.280 Thousand ex showroom is mainly intended for recreational useage in dirt or off road. Strictly speaking, the bike is not approved for on road useage, and is intended for kids in their mid teens, who want to enjoy off road biking.
Powered by a 112 cc single cylinder engine, the bike has a four speed gearbox, with a limited 3.7 litre fuel tank. Powerful drum breaks are mounted on both wheels for ease of breaking.
The bike comes to India as a completely built unit from the Kawasaki plant in Thailand, with a spares supply chain already in place.
The bike is meant to be a niche product, with the price tag being a deterant to the masses, hence numbers are expected to be conservative, only being patronised by the super rich as indulgances for their teen kids.
