Jat community is demanding reservation in jobs and educational institutions
Jat community is holding a rally at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Thursday in order to press their demand for the reservation in government jobs. More than 9,000 members of this community have participated in this rally. The motive behind the protest is, they are demanding reservation in jobs as well as in educational institutions
Yashpal Malik, the president of the All-India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) said,”Jats from Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh will stage a protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital at 11:00am on Thursday.”
AIJASS spokesperson Rambhagat Malik stated,”We are sure that more than 10,000 protesters will go to Delhi from Hisar.”
The leaders of the rally have asked their supporters to stop paying water bills, electricity bills and the instalment of loans that they owe to government.
AIJASS chief Malik said,”We have decided that no further communication will be done with the Haryana Finance Minister, BJP Chief Subhash Barala, Agriculture Minister Omprakash Dhankar and Mahipal Dhanda”.
Let’s see what will be the outcome after this rally whether the government will listen to their demands or not?
Notably, last year the Jat protest had turned violent, and the stir had claimed 30 lives.
