IPL9 will start from April 9!
The Sanjiv Goenka, who owned New Rising Consortium and Mobile phone manufacturer Intex joined Indian Premier league bandwagon as Pune, Rajkot became the two new franchises replacing Chennai super kings and Rajasthan royals for two years.
Kolkata based business tycoon Goenka’s company has bought the Pune franchise while Rajkot franchise was won by Intex mobiles.
Rs 10 crore per year will be shell out by Goenka to the BCCI while Intex mobiles will all pay Rs 16 crore. Board secretary Anurag Thakur said that “They won’t take a single penny from the BCCI. In fact they will pay the BCCI.” President of BCCI Shashank Manohar further announced that the ninth edition of IPL would be played from April 9 to May 29 in 2016.
