It seems THAT Indian teens at an early age of roughly 14 years are already sexually active. Their main source of exploring the understanding of sexual experience; the bird and the bees, or sex education, is online porn. The pre-adolescent teens are continuing to experiment and are becoming more familiar with pre-marital sex than earlier understood, or even the notion girls are being coerced by their boyfriends.
The concerns are that the Indian teens are contracting sexually transmitted infections in numbers higher than before, at almost 4% of the population.
This is because there is an inadequate lack of legitimate awareness based on age appropriate, culture and value based education at home or even at the schools of STD prevention and contraceptives use.
A paucity in this inadequate awareness and education is causing a rise in underage pregnancies and a rise in AIDS cases.
