India claimed 2nd rank in ICC Test rankings after victory over Proteas
India has claimed number two spot in the ICC Test Championship rankings after winning the final test match as well as series against Proteas by 3-0.
The result of the series has helped Virat Kohli’s team to move from 100 points to 110 points and ahead of Australia and Pakistan, which has slipped one place each to third and fourth, respectively.
For the moment, Hashim Amla’s team has retained its number-one ranking but their lead has been slipped from 16 points to only four points.
India has no more Test matches before the 1 April cut-off date, but third-ranked Australia will host West Indies in a three-Test series from 10 December.
