Hyundai Launched “Xcent – The Family Sedan”
Hyundai recently launched its family sedan ‘Xcent’. The car has been designed with Hyundai’s signature ‘Fluidic’ design philosophy and seems progressive with quality, space, comfort, and safety features.
It seems to be an ideal family car with comfort, space, and superior mileage. The 2nd generation 1.1 litre U2 diesel engine is the most advanced and affordable CRDi technology that ensures performance, efficiency and low running costs, lower NVH and lesser emissions. But we think, it may feel sluggish at times. Xcent also has a 1.2litre kappa VTVT petrol engine option.
On the outside, the car has 15″ five spoke alloys wheels which means better ground clearance and less chances of that embrassing speed breaker bump with a full load. The door handles are done up in chrome and fog lamps in the front mean better visibility of the road.
On the inside, the car seems to have more space and the rear vents mean better cooling. The safety features dual airbags and ABS are like any other car. It also gets a parking assist system. The convenience of the smart key with push button start/stop is really a good option. We think Nissan did a good job by bringing it to small cars like its own Micra. The audio system is a dual din and the driver gets to enjoy the automatic temprature control, meaning no more fiddling with the fan speed. The auto retractable outside rear view mirrors should be good help in traffic especially when a motorcyclist it trying to find his way past you.
The features and comfort that Xcent offers is a good deal on paper but would it deliver on road? We would hold on to our thoughts until we get our hands on one. And when we take it out for a spin, we would definitely put it on paper for you.
