Honda India has come out with a voluntary scheme, under which it is advising the owners of its approx. 3800 City CVT cars to bring them to the company showrooms for a software upgrade.
The upgrade is intended on the software which controls the CVT gearbox, and is meant to enhance performance by optimizing the hydraulic pressure in the gearbox.
To enable customers to check whether their car is eligible for the upgrade, they can enter their car’s 17 digit VIN number on the website. If eligible, then they can take the car to the designated dealership for the upgrade.
