Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is celebrating setting two new records.
For one, it has sold a million of its 125 cc Activa variant within the first 5 first month of this fiscal. Secondly, it is the largest two- wheeler maker in the country, overtaking rivals Bajaj Auto and Hero Motorcorp.
Honda has been persuing of becoming a dominant player in the Indian scooter segment since 2001. It has pushed itself to register a growth rate of 20% last year.
Today, scooters in India constitute more than a third of the two-wheeler market. Honda enjoys a 27 per cent market share.
