Health Insurance of A Crore
Indian insurance companies which were providing a basic cover of rupees 3 to 5 lakhs up till are now on the way to offer a plan of rupees 100 lakhs, which means one, would be able to cover self and family with a sum insured of a crore.
The Cigna TTK health insurance on Wednesday announced the launch of a health insurance product “ProHealth” the sum insured for which ranges from Rs. 2.5 Lakh up to Rs. 100 Lakh. The premium for this Rs 1 crore health cover is Rs 38,397 under ProHealth Premier plan for a normal individual of 30 years old who is a non-smoker!
Mr. Sandeep Patel, CEO and Managing Director, CignaTTK Health Insurance Company Limited said, “We strongly believe that different consumers have different requirements, hence, we have developed ProHealth to be flexible to a consumer’s unique needs. The product has four variants and multiple customization options to cater to all consumer segments. Before this, the maximum cover offered in India was Rs 60 lakh by Religare Health Insurance Company while Max Bupa offers a maximum cover of Rs 50 lakh.
