Yes, that’s true Mortgage lender HDFC has been ranked among the world’s 10 biggest and most powerful companies in the consumer financial services sector on a Forbes’ list, which is topped by American Express.

HDFC is on the seventh rank and it is the only Indian company in the top-10 in this category, which has global giants such as Capital One, Visa and MasterCard. While in the overall list of the world’s 2,000 largest public companies compiled by Forbes, HDFC is ranked 404th, while it is at 10th position among Indian firms.
Almost 56 companies are present in the list with Reliance Industries ranked highest among them. It is at 121st place globally.
