Union Health Minister JP Nadda said that, “Government has decided to introduce injectable contraceptive for women in the public health system and family welfare program.”
He added that in the first phase it would be launched only in the medical colleges and district hospitals where dedicated counselors for family are in place.
He told that the government has conducted the meeting of gynecologist from all over the country including some heads of department of medical college and professionals, who discussed the issue in detail.
After meeting it was concluded that menstrual irregularity and demonetization of bones are temporary phenomenon which disappear once the injectable are discontinued.
