Global aid prevents more than 55 Thousand ebola deaths in Sierra Leone
Sierra Leone has been experience a ebola epidemic which has cost thousands of lives. There is little this cash strapped West African nation could do on it’s own.
This is where international aid stepped in. British aid amounting to more than $150 million set up around 3 thousand hospital beds there in 2014, which alone is calculated to have saved more than 40 thousand lives. Total aid from UK has exceeded $650 Million so far.
Aid from other nations has also prevented loss of lives here, notching up the total to more than 55 thousand.
