It has been more than 2 years since the Jaisalmer Airport was ready to use but not even a single passenger has made use of the Airport which has the capacity to handle 0.3 million passengers a year.
India has spent close to 326 crores on 8 airports since 2009 but the story of these airports is more or less the same.
While on the other hand, there are airports which are handling more passengers than they are equipped to.
The steps taken to connect these far flung places by air are appreciable but the government also needs to take into account the demand at such places. Otherwise, the hard earned public money is all going to go to waste.
