Shilpa Shetty Kundra, a celebrity who needs no introduction, a business woman, a yoga follower, a mother and what not, would be seen under new phase of her life as a producer. Debuting with ‘Dishkiyaoon’ as producer, Shilpa says “The experience of being a producer has been a learning curve and amazing. I made this film from my heart. I didn’t think I was going to make an action film, but I was so impressed by Dishkyaoon’s script that I decided to debut with this movie. I love the way it has turned out for me. The movie has a beautiful story and sensible action.” says Mrs. Kundra.
On being asked what she likes more, producing or acting, she replied that for her producing has been a totally different experience, it’s about being behind the camera whereas acting is full of emotions. “Both are vital part of cinema and I enjoyed both phases. I love cinema, so I will love to be a part of it in every way. As long as I am able to contribute to this industry, I am happy.”
Further when asked, when would viewers have the opportunity to see Shilpa Shetty Kundra on screen as an actress, she said “I haven’t thought of coming on screen yet. I think, I will think about it after a year or so, because nowadays, I am pretty occupied in the role of a mother. My son, Rihaan, takes most of my time.”
We were wondering, how has her experience of being involved in different fields like business, fitness and so on has been, so, when we asked her that how she feels about being ‘Masters of all’ she says, “Ha ha, well that’s a big term. I don’t know, I never thought I would do all of this. But I know that I do all of this because I am passionate about it and I am glad that people have accepted me in every role. Now, I expect that people also like me in the role of a producer and love this movie.”
She further adds that the USP of this movie is its dialogues. “The director has done a wonderful job with dialogues. They are so catchy and in accordance to the trend of cinema these days that I am sure people will love it. My personal favourite is ‘Haath tod deta, paon tod deta, dil nahi todna chahiye tha’. I just chose an interesting script and people nowadays are in search of such scripts.”
Ending her conversation, Shilpa explains why she chose Harman Baweja and a new comer, Ayesha Khanna, for the respective roles in the movie, “Harman has always been seen in romantic roles, and moreover, he has not been given good chances. I knew that Harman has the talent to take off the role to another level. I myself wasn’t good in my first few movies. I don’t know how people kept giving me chances. So, I think there has to be someone who promotes talent and I always wanted to bring new talent. I know Harman and Ayesha both have it in them and I feel, I am lucky enough to bring them on screen.”
The movie is all set to release this weekend. This movie is a Bollywood action film produced by Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra along with Eros International and directed by Sanamjit Singh Talwar. The film features Sunny Deol, Harman Baweja and debutant Ayesha Khanna. Four songs have been composed by debutant Palash Muchhal, who is the youngest music composer of Bollywood at the age of 18.
