Foundation for Residential School
At Raja Ronggat near Chokpot, Garo Hills, will be one of the first towns to get a residential schools in Meghalya. It’s a new programme to improve the education sector in these low tier towns.
There is an increasing level of high achievement among these first generation students that are raised from the rural areas compared to the urban students.
The Chief Minister highlighted the education sector needs to take responsibility in managing and reviving the sacrifice and spirit of quality teachers of yesteryears. It is this through this we can get quality students to create a better world tomorrow.
