Making a major move, Flipkart has partnered with Karbonn to launch entry level android phones ranging between Rs 2699 and Rs 4499. There will be four new android smartphone in colours white and black and will be made available exclusively on Flipkart. Quite a strategy!
The names of the dual-sim smart phones are Karbonn Smart A52+, Karbonn Smart A12, Karbonn Smart A11 and Karbonn Smart A50S. Two of these phones include Android 4.4 Kitkat which is the latest version of OS and the other two are Android JellyBean operating system-based handsets.

The Karbonn Smart A5OS and A52+ are Android JellyBean OS-based handsets priced at Rs 2699 and Rs 3099 respectively. These two sport a 3.5-inch display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 2GB internal storage, 2MP rear camera and digital front camera. The 3G Karbonn Smart A11 has a 4.3 inch screen and is priced at Rs 4499.The 3G Karbonn A12 sports a 4 inch screen, 5MP rear camera, digital front camera and is priced at Rs 4099.
The purpose of launching these smart phones is to make this technology available at affordable prices which will make these phones available to larger masses.

“I have not been able to afford a smart phone yet because it is hard to save that much from my pocket money. But with this new smart phone which is costing Rs 2699, it will be easier to afford one now. I will soon place an order on Flipkart,” stated Unnati Kaushik who has just passed her intermediate from Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad.
Flipkart, the e-commerce giant also has similar tie up with Motorola. It has in the past launched three devices with Motorola namely Moto G, Moto X and Moto E.
The ideas of making smart phones available at affordable prices seem nice but it will work well in the long term only if the features of the phone prove to be as efficient as any other smart phone.
