Extreme poverty down, says World Bank!

According to the World Bank, extreme poverty has been now been defined as an income of less than $1.90 per day, up from the earlier figure of $1.25.

Despite this hike, the number of people living in extreme poverty has reduced, and by the end of this year, for the very first time in history, less than 10 percent of the World’s population will be living in these conditions.
