Epro program

According to Latif Nathani, the ‘epro certification’ will help to increase more employment opportunities and will bridge the skills-divide among people.

Apart from this the biggest advantage of the epro program will be that it would create online entrepreneurs to tap the growing opportunities in the world of E-commerce.

Inauguration of Epro program

E- Bay, being the biggest E- commerce company, wants to contribute towards the effort made by the government called ‘Make in India’ campaign. Latif added that “eBay India has enabled businesses for over 50,000 merchants of all sizes and it has been our constant endeavor to expand the seller base”.

But he himself believes that widening the skill gap can hamper the growth of the e-commerce industry hence, to create an employable workforce epro is introduced.

Discussion on the ro program

If we talk about the potential of the e-commerce industry, it is estimated that it will touch USD 76 billion by 2021 and the demand for employees is pegged at 1.4 million by 2021. However this opportunity would not be completely explored as only 27 percent of the fresh graduates will be employed due to lack of skill training.

To bridge that gap, epro certification program has been built with an aim to create a sustainable and scalable skills framework via public and private partnership to increase employability.
