Driving the Audi Q’s off-road
When one buys a car it has to be “value for money” and I always want it to have everything that money can buy. The luxury SUVs that I see on the road are impressive to look at, and have always doubted, can they really do what the company claims the SUVs will do. Thanks to Audi Noida and Audi Delhi West, today I experienced the big and luxurious Audi Q7 off road. Audi Noida organized the Q-Drive to let the customers experience the true capabilities and the advanced technology of these machines on a man made track, a little off the Taj Express way. Audi Q3, Q5, and Q7 were the three options to drive. I chose the Audi Q7, the biggest and costliest of them three. Testing the Quattro technology of the Audi unders Instructors supervision was fun and not so easy. The track was specially built to showcase the SUV’s varied performance under very different conditions. Each section of the track had been built keeping in mins a specific road condition and how the machine would tackle it. For example, the cabin comfort was tested by taking the car over rumble strips, all wheel drive technology was tested over slushy track, and the stability of the machine could be tested by going through a 38 degree sideways incline.
The track was good enough to test the true capabilities of the SUV, its a pity that I could do just one lap. I think it is important to know what your car can do, you never know when you would need it. When you buy an SUV do try out the Audi, and if you get a chance to participate in the Q-Drive event, you would know what the machine can do, even before you buy it!
