Double bonanza for India at Canada Open Grand Pix
It was a double treat for India at the Canada Open as India received two titles- one in men’s singles and one in men’s doubles.

B Sai Praneeth, 23, numbered fourth, defeated Korea’s Lee Hyu II in the men’s single final on Sunday by a score of 21-12 21-10.The match lasted for less than an hour at the Markin MacPhail Centre.
Praneeth has made frequent exits from tournaments in the past because of his injuries.But on Saturday, this Andhra Pradesh lad defeated Brice Leverdez of France by a score of 22-20 19-21 21-12 in quite a difficult match and showed that he’s back in action now.
The second win was of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy in the men’s doubles of the Grand Pix badminton tournament.
Their pair is the first Indian pair to qualify for the Rio Olympics.
They proved themselves right by wining the men’s tittle against local combo of Adrian Liu and Toby Ng by a score of 21-8 21- 14 in the finals.They also defeated Indonesia’s Andrei Adistia and Canada’s Dong Adam by a score of 21-15 21-19 in the semi finals.
