According to a study of Jazz Pianists, emotional expression can affect our brain’s creativity. Adding more to it the study further added that happy and sad music evoked different neutral patterns in their brains.
As per researchers, workings of neutral circuits associated with creativity gets altered, when emotions comes in picture. Overall, emotions matters, when it comes to creativity.
It’s just can’t be binary situation in which your brain is one way, when you are being creative and another way, when you are not.
