Do women fake pleasures to end sex sessions?

When talking about the troubling sexual encounters, which are faced by some women mention faking sexual pleasure to further speed up their male partner’s orgasm and then ultimately end sex that they do not enjoy.

For the study, the researchers have interviewed a small group of women (aged 19 -28) who has been sexually active for one year at least.

One of the researchers Emily Thomas from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada has said that, while some women did speak about faking orgasm in the positive ways, many talked about faking pleasure in context of un-pleasurable and unwanted sexual experience.

She also noted that, within these accounts, they were stuck by the degree to which a woman connected the practice of faking orgasm to accounts of unwanted sex.

Women can fake pleasure to end sex session

Despite being recruited to talk about their consensual sex, all the women spoke explicitly about the problematic sexual experience.

The interviews were also analyzed to explore that how these women negotiate and then account for experiences of problem sex in the context of exaggerating sexual pleasure and also faking orgasm.

Analysis has shown that the women have never used terms such as rape and coercion in order to refer to their own experiences – despite their descriptions of events that could be categorized as such.

The women spoke of faking orgasm as a means to put an end to these troubling sexual encounters.
In other words, faking orgasm did provide a solution for ending sex, as culturally, not many options are available.

These findings were presented at the British Psychological Society’s Psychology of Women annual conference in Windsor, Berkshire, Britain.
