Cutoffs might be affected by poor maths score

After the CBSE class 12th boards results, the different colleges of Delhi University will soon be declaring their cut off lists.

It is likely to be believed that the poor mathematics score will affect the cut offs this year. Such poor results in mathematics might lead to a very slight increase in the forthcoming admission season.

Though the number of students scoring above 90% and 95% have significantly increased this year but the average mathematics score has gone down.

Students tensed about the Cutoffs

Only a total number of 257 students across India has scored full marks in mathematics as compared to the last years 1200 plus students.

Scoring less in this subject might be a problem for the students, who will opt for physics, chemistry, mathematics, BSc physical sciences, statistics and computer programmes because of the compulsion of adding mathematics score in the aggregate or you can say the best of four.

For economics and commerce students poor mathematics score won’t be an issue since the students only need to pass the subject and not compulsory include it in the aggregate.
