When the squad for the ODI for the Sri Lanka tour was selected, Phil Simmons declared that he was not really happy with this selection.
Two days after this statement, he has been suspended as the the coach of West Indies. The news was very sudden and shocking for Phil, the players and the fans. Phil was on his way to London to join the squad, when he got the mail.
The position will be temporarily be filled by Eldine Baptiste.
