CLARKE BIDS ADIEU
CLARKE BIDS ADIEU
One of the most well maintained and perfectly calm batsmen that the cricketing world witnessed is set to say goodbye on what looks like a sad note.
Michael Clarke, regarded as someone who gave direction to a youthful and inexperienced Australian team since Ricky Ponting stepped down from captaincy, will retire from international cricket after a humiliating series loss at the hands of arch rivals England.
He announced that the final test at The Oval against England in the ongoing Ashes series will be his last. The 34 year old’s form had been inconsistent since quite a lot of time and this is presumably the reason why he is stepping down from cricket altogether.
The Australian media ran news of Clarke’s retirement more than the team’s lousy performance.
