China economy grew by 6.9% in 2015, compared with 7.3 %a year earlier, marking its slowest growth in last 25 years.
China’s slowest growth is a major concern for investors around the world because its growth is seen as a driver of global economy.
According to a report, Chinese Premier Ki Keqiang said that weaker growth would be acceptable as long as new jobs were created.
Some observers have said that its actual growth was actually much weaker than the official data suggests but Beijing has denied all such reports.
Some of the observers are arguing that China’s focus on creating an economy driven by consumption is misplaced. They have said country should focus on its productivity in order to sustain high growth.
