Madhur Bhandarkar is known for making controversial films. A skilled craftsman, he skillfully injects large doses of sensuality in his films.
He has done the same with Calendar Girls. Promoted as a female centric film, in keeping with the new trend, however, the film has more of titillation for the male gender, and less of female equality.
The film can be touted as cinematic hypocrisy at it’s best!
