BCCI means business
In keeping with the new BCCI President Shashank Manohar’s dictat, BCCI and it’s associates/affiliates and subsidiaries have started a clean up to once again bring honour to the sport and this august body.
As a result, two of the scandal tainted IPL franchises – Chennai Super Kings, and Rajasthan Royals are to be replaced.
Chennai Super Kings was owned by BCCI ex-president N. Srinivasn, whose son in law Gurunath Meiyappan was embroiled in the match fixing scandal, along with the owner of Rajasthan Royals Raj Kundra.
Both Kundra and Meiyappan have been barred for life with respect to all cricket related activities.
