Badlapur: Story of Revenge

Since the posters of Sriram Raghavan’s Badlapur came out, it has created a lot of hustle bustle in the entire industry. Till now, Varun Dhawan was seen in either a comic or a romantic role but for the first time he would be seen playing a dark role in his upcoming movie.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Badlapur is yet another one of his famous dark-action thrillers. Famously known for his 45 minutes documentary on serial Killer Raman Raghavan and the movie Ek Haseena Thi (Starring Saif Ali Khan and Urmila Matondkar), it seems Sriram has successfully been able to get Varun out of his comfort zone and his chocolate boy looks.

Varun would be seen portraying two phases of life, of a 18 years old boy and a 40 year old man, who is craving to take revenge for whatever wrong has been done to him.

Looking at the trailer, it is quite evident that Varun has seriously got himself into the character completely and is warning all those who doubted his caliber of taking up this movie. Well, this was indeed a risky project for him, but seems the risk was worth taking. The movie also has the gorgeous actress Huma Quereshi as the female lead, critically acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddique as the antagonist and Divya Dutta in the pivotal role. The movie is expected to release next year in February. Till then, enjoy the trailer.
