Bad news for boxing fans, Mary Kom denied Rio ticket
It comes as a bad news for the country’s boxing champion Mary Kom and her fans; as the International Olympic Committee has denied the wild card entry to the world champion for five times in the Rio Olympics games.
The Amateur International Boxing Association- appointed ad-hoc committee; Kishan Narshi has confirmed the news.

However, AIBA has earlier requested for a wild card entry of the five time world champion, Mary Kom for the upcoming Olympic Games which are to be held in the Brazilian seaside city of Rio de Janeiro.
Kom’s hopes for her entry into the forthcoming Rio Olympics were shattered after she crashed out at the second round of the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championship which took place in Kazakhstan.
The 32-year -old boxing champion became the first Indian women to win a boxing medal when she got a bronze in the London Games 2012.
