Fire broke out at a class 10th exams evaluation centre in Jorhat in upper Assam that destroyed around 5,000-10,000 answer sheets of the ongoing High School Leaving Certificate Examination conducted by state secondary education board.
According to Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Vasant Vishal Solanki there is no evidence of accidental fire there is a possibility that someone has three burning object through the ventilator into the room, where the answer sheets were kept.
As per reports 20 per cent of answer sheets are destroyed. This is a great loss but investigation is still going on.
