The ASEM (Asia Europe Meeting) of DGs/Commissioners of Customs started today in Panaji, the capital of Goa. This is the eleventh such meeting.
Inaugurated by India’s Chairman of CBEC (Central Board of Excise and Customs) Najeeb Shah, the meeting aims to address the changing scenario and dynamics of mobility of goods and capital across borders.
The meeting will also review progress and achievements since the previous ASEM in Vienna, Austria in 2013.
