Ajinkya Rahane steadies India after losing early wickets
Rahane’s outstanding innings helped India to secure 231 for seven before bad light forced an early end of the opening day of the final Test match against South Africa.
Rahane made 70-run partnership with Captain Virat Kohli (44) for the fourth wicket partnership. And also constructed a crucial 59-run partnership for the seventh wicket with Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 24.
Fast bowler Kyle Abbott provided support to their bowling attack as he ended the day with 3 wickets for 23 runs.
Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin will continue their innings on their respective scores of 89 and six on day 2.
