According to a study done in US has warned that major reason behind heart disease could be air pollution.
It was a decade long study which suggested that people, who live in more exposure of air pollution, are more prone to heart diseases compare to those, who live in less exposure of air pollution.

Though, it has been unclear, however, how exposure to particulate matter leads to diseases of the cardiovascular system.
The condition is been called hardening of the arteries, which arises due to more exposure of air pollution.
