1) How did you find out this concept of eye-lash extension?
Sapna Bedi Khaitan: I learned about eyelash extension like most women through trial and error, I used to use the strip lashes available in most make up stores .By midday they would always start coming off. I was in Bangkok and found out about lash extensions, there were many options available, I did more research and found out that Novalash was the safest and they have been putting extensions for over 10 years.
2) What all options one have in eye-lash Extension? And what is the cost?
Sapna Bedi Khaitan: Our clients opt for many different looks from natural to the dramatic, we also style client’s lashes based on what suits their face type, and we have the ability to help make your eyes look symmetrical. We also offer colored and candied lashes. One can know about the costs by calling or visiting their nearby clinics and according to their requirements
3) What are the precautions to be taken care of?
Sapna Bedi Khaitan: After the extension are applied you can do anything you would do normally, like swim, exercise, shower etc. But yes, daily use of mascara may shorten the life of extension, however if mascara usage is desired particularly between touch-up appointments , Novalash only recommends using our specially-formulated mascara to maintain the longevity of your lashes. And also, we recommend a touch up after 4 weeks.
3.1) How are the responses from your clients? And till now how many Indian clients have turned up?
Sapna Bedi Khaitan: Wonderful, we have clients who have religiously visited us since we opened. Our primary target market is Indian woman, we also have foreign clients who come and get the services in India because the cost is much lesser. But mostly our clients are all Indian.
4) What happens to the natural eye-lashes, in this process of extension?
Sapna Bedi Khaitan: To answer this question properly, I would have to explain the life cycle of an eyelash. Natural lashes are basically hair and like our natural hair grows out every 4 – 6 weeks, even our original lashes grow out every 4 – 6 weeks and new lashes come out. Since Novalash is stuck on to each natural lash, whenever that lash grows out according to its natural life cycle, the lash extensions also grows out with it and a new natural lash comes.
5) Does it have any side effect?
Sapna Bedi Khaitan: “NO!” Since we apply each individual extension to each eyelash youR lashes remain safe. All our products are made and imported from the United States, and are made in an FDA approved facility. The transformation takes about two hours for the first sitting and 1 hour for touch ups. The extensions will not cause any harm to your natural lashes, our Novalash technicians ensures this.
6) Do you have any doctors who examine the client and then advise for Eye-lash Extension?
Sapna Bedi Khaitan: A Doctor is not required as the processes is not invasive, and merrily a cosmetic procedure, our technicians have been certified from Novalash after extensive training
