$1.8 million earned by Wipro’s CEO in last fiscal year
The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Wipro, Abidali Neemuchwala, received whooping $1.8 million for the FY 2016.
Mr. Neemuchwala, earlier served as the Chief Operating Officer of the company since April 2015 and the above mentioned amount includes the salary drawn as COO.
It is interesting to note that the amount that Wipro’s CEO received is less than the salary of the rival company’s current CEO Vishal Sikka. Mr. Sikka received a salary of $7.4 million last year and the board has approved a revised salary package of $11 million.

While TCS paid its CEO N. Chandrasekaran annual salary of $3.8 million.
According to the Securities Exchange Commission, Wipro CEO’s salary package included salary and allowances of $859,079, variable pay of $351,213 other components of $575,122 and long-term compensation of $21, 216.
T.K. Kurien, the current executive vice-chairman and former CEO received a salary of $2.1 million.
The chairman of Wipro Azim Premji took a salary package of $327993.
