Rishabh Pant commentary from behind the wickets is priceless, Watch video inside
Cricket fans are enjoying stump mic chatter more than the original commentary
Seeing a wicket-keeper cheer, chirp, and cry (in anger) behind the stumps is not a rare sight. It is so common that it is considered an integral part of the job of a wicket-keeper. Indian fans are used to hearing the former captain MS Dhoni throwing some of the cheeky, bizarre and hilarious quips that the stump mic catches and then broadcasts.
The close-in fielders along the keeper are also known to make stay difficult for a batsman, especially in a Test Cricket, and help the bowler to outsmart the batsman.
There are so many examples when wicketkeepers got the batsman all riled up and hence making them lose their concentration. Can we forget the Sri Lankan legendary wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara’s witty banter with South African all-rounder Shan Pollack or Mark Boucher’s sledging to Tatenda Taibu. The hilarious conversations left viewers laughing out loud. But these scenarios are very rare.
However, with Rishabh Pant behind the wickets, it is different. His comical commentary while keeping the wickets is as consistent as the batting performance of his captain Virat Kohli. Pant has kept the fans hooked with hilarious jibes, cheers, encouragement, casual remarks, and suggestions in the ongoing India-England series.
A Twitter user made a short and hilarious compilation of Rishabh Pant’s pure entertainment from behind the wickets.

This is not the first time Rishabh Pant has entertained the audiences from behind the wickets. We saw him singing Spiderman-Spiderman song in Australia. Apart from entertainment, he also tries to get under the skin of the opponent batsman. In the recent Australia-India series where the young team created history, he was seen playing with Pat Cummins when he came to bat out on the final day of the Adelaide Test.
India was just 4 wickets away from the Win and Australia was trying to save the match. Pant began to chatter, “Not going for the shots Patty?” “Let’s see some sixes, come on Patty.”

Disney+Hotstar, the official live-streaming platform for the ongoing India-England series gives an option of choosing the audio background based on the preference of the language. People have started demanding an option where they can mute the audio of commentators and listen to just Rishabh Pant from behind the wickets. Some of the Twitter users have called him a pure delight behind the wickets.
Look at these tweets:
@DisneyPlusHS should have one session with an option to turn off the commentary and just listen to Pant on stump mic.

@DeepDasgupta7 should stop talking when there is a moment happening… Pant was saying something and I couldn't hear

The stylish cricketer sent the social media in a frenzy after a series of stunning performances with the bat and wicket-keeping in the last few matches. He has taken some stunning catches and breath-taking stumpings in the second Test with England at Chennai.
