A woman recently shared on social media she was sexually harassed by a senior executive from Jindal Steel during an Etihad Airways flight from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi. She also said that the man started talking to her politely as if he was just chatting with her, then he showed her some pictures on his phone of a sexual nature and touched her inappropriately. The woman got so emotional and narrated the experience of the incident and said that she went to the flight attendants for assistance, who immediately attended to her needs and offered her a new seat.
The woman’s post received a lot of reactions as she raised her worry over the nature of the CEO and mistreatment of women in his leadership authority. After the questions, she stressed that she wanted to talk about the incident and share her story in order to raise awareness of such cases and prevent such situations from happening in the future.

The Chairman of Jindal Steel, Naveen Jindal, was the first to react to the events on the social networking pages. Jindal replied that appropriate action will be taken regarding the culpable accused, adding that “strictest and necessary action will be taken against the accused.” He reassured the woman by telling her that she did well in reporting a man who had assaulted her and went on to state that the company had no tolerance for such acts. Jindal’s quick response demonstrates the significance he places on eradicating any form of illegitimate occupation in his organization.
