Nav Shri Manav Dharam Ramleela Committee, Model Town, organized a press conference to announce their upcoming Ramleela, going to take place at Derawal Nagar, Model Town, New Delhi, from September 26, 2022, to October 5, 2022.
What is Ramleela?
Ramleela is a theatrical re-enactment of Hindu God Rama’s life, capturing his journey along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman as he is exiled from his own kingdom, his fight and eventual victory over the demon king Ravana that is retold every year around this time to celebrate the triumph of good over evil, culminating on Dussehra.
Nav Shri Manav Dharam Ramleela’s Characters
Shri Vikesh Sethi introduced Ramleela characters to the media. Like every year, important characters will be portrayed by some of the renowned personalities of India. Manoj Tiwari, a Member of Parliament, will be seen as Angad, and Puneet Issar, also known as Duryodhana in Mahabharata, is back with another epic villain. He will be seen playing Ravana in Ramleela. Pankaj Beri has been part of the entertainment industry for a really long time now. He will be essaying Vishwamitra.
Tv actress Payal Rohatgi will be in the Surpanakha avatar. However, apart from all, Protagonist Ram is one of the important characters of every Ramleela. So, the committee comes with Siddhant Issar as Ram and Veer Virender Singh as Hanuman. We bet they are perfect for their respective roles.
On this occasion, Shri Manoj Tiwari, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, said, “I am thrilled to be a part of this iconic Ramleela. Lord Ram’s life will inspire the coming generations for years.
Puneet Issar & Siddhant Issar also shared their thoughts on the joyous occasion. They said, “It is our privilege to be part of this Ramleela & it will be our life experience as the father-son moment.”
The organizers Vikesh Sethi, Akhil Singhal, and Binny Goel were happy to elegantly announce the Ramleela of 2022 post covid pandemic.
